Inkagai is a product operated by Algodyne Corporation, a Delaware corporation. In this Privacy Policy, Inkagai refers to the product and Services, and Algodyne, we, us, or our refers to Algodyne Corporation.
This Privacy Policy explains how Algodyne collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains Personal Data when adults use Inkagai websites, applications, account features, author workspaces, public publishing surfaces, support channels, and related services.
1. Adults only
Inkagai is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old.
You must be at least 18 to visit an Inkagai signup or reservation surface, create or use an account, join or administer a workspace, purchase a service, publish content, use collaboration features, or otherwise use Inkagai.
Algodyne does not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 18. Inkagai does not offer a parental or guardian-consent path. If Algodyne learns that a person under 18 supplied Personal Data or created an account, Algodyne will disable the relevant access and delete the information unless continued retention is legally required.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Inkagai marketing, pricing, help, legal, reservation, and account pages.
- Inkagai accounts, sessions, workspaces, author identities, and author handles.
- Manuscripts, notes, research, graph data, comments, style information, source material, and related creative content stored or processed through Inkagai.
- Public author pages, book pages, posts, excerpts, newsletters, storefronts, and other publishing surfaces where enabled.
- AI-assisted, import, export, collaboration, commerce, marketplace, and support features where enabled.
This policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that Algodyne does not control. Those services publish their own privacy notices.
3. Privacy model
Inkagai separates Private Content from Public Content.
Private Content does not become public merely because it is stored in Inkagai. Content becomes public only when an authorized adult user performs an explicit publication or sharing action.
Some features require selected content to be processed for a specific purpose, including AI assistance, import, export, search, publishing, collaboration, or marketplace activity. Inkagai limits processing to the content and purpose selected by the user where the feature supports scoped selection.
Inkagai does not represent that a zero-knowledge or client-side-encrypted vault is active unless the product explicitly identifies that mode as enabled for the applicable workspace and the corresponding technical controls are operating. Any future privacy mode that materially changes Algodyne's access to content will be described before it governs user content.
4. Personal Data we collect
Account and identity information
Algodyne may collect:
- Email address, name, display name, and authentication identifiers.
- Login, session, passkey, multi-factor authentication, recovery, and security metadata where enabled.
- Account, language, appearance, notification, consent, and privacy settings.
- Author name, pen name, public handle, profile URL, biography, genre tags, portraits, links, and other public author information supplied by the user.
User Content
Users may create, upload, import, store, process, share, or publish:
- Manuscripts, books, chapters, scenes, sections, drafts, and revisions.
- Notes, annotations, comments, suggestions, research, source files, claims, and evidence.
- Characters, locations, timelines, arcs, canon facts, and graph relationships.
- Style information, prompts, AI outputs, exports, images, and project assets.
- Public author pages, book pages, posts, excerpts, newsletters, storefront information, and community or marketplace materials where enabled.
Algodyne may also process operational metadata needed to provide the Services, such as account and workspace identifiers, content identifiers, file sizes, timestamps, word counts, state transitions, export status, permission changes, and audit events.
Collaboration and workspace information
Where collaboration is enabled, Algodyne may collect workspace membership, roles, permissions, invitations, comments, approvals, tasks, access events, and sharing records.
Removing a collaborator prevents future access through Inkagai but cannot erase material that the collaborator already viewed, copied, downloaded, exported, photographed, cached, or otherwise retained outside the Services.
Payment and commercial information
Where paid services are enabled, Algodyne may collect plan, entitlement, invoice, tax, payment-status, refund, dispute, and billing-event information. Payment providers process payment-card and banking details. Algodyne does not intend to store full payment-card numbers.
Support and communications
When a user contacts Algodyne about Inkagai, Algodyne may collect contact information, messages, attachments, screenshots, logs supplied by the user, support history, and resolution notes.
Users should not send unnecessary manuscript text, credentials, recovery material, payment-card numbers, or other sensitive content through support channels.
Usage, telemetry, and security information
Algodyne and its service providers may process:
- IP address, user agent, device and browser information, approximate region, request headers, and timestamps.
- Page visits, feature usage, performance data, errors, exports, publication events, AI usage events, and billing events.
- Login, session, authentication, audit, abuse, spam, fraud, rate-limit, and security signals.
Production logging must minimize User Content and must not intentionally record plaintext Private Content where the relevant implementation prohibits it.
Cookies and similar technologies
Inkagai uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, requested preferences, consent records, workspace selection, referral attribution where consented, checkout, and service operation. See the Cookie Policy.

Algodyne does not sell Private Content. Algodyne does not use Private Content to train an Algodyne-owned model or authorize a model provider to train on Private Content without separate, explicit, opt-in authorization for the specific content and purpose.
6. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, Algodyne relies on:
| Purpose | Legal basis where applicable |
|---|---|
| Accounts, workspaces, paid access, and core service features | Contract |
| Storing and processing User Content at the user's request | Contract |
| AI, import, export, publishing, sharing, and collaboration actions requested by the user | Contract and consent where required |
| Security, abuse prevention, fraud prevention, and service integrity | Legitimate interests and legal obligation where applicable |
| Transactional and service communications | Contract or legitimate interests |
| Optional marketing communications | Consent or legitimate interests where law permits |
| Optional analytics and non-essential device technologies | Consent where required |
| Billing, tax, accounting, disputes, and legal compliance | Contract and legal obligation |
7. AI-assisted features
AI-assisted features operate only where enabled.
When an adult user invokes an AI feature, Inkagai may process the context selected for that request, the instruction, the result, and operational metadata needed for security, metering, routing, and reliability. Provider routing may vary by feature and availability.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, derivative, infringing, or unsuitable. The user is responsible for reviewing AI output before accepting, publishing, distributing, selling, or relying on it.
The AI Use Policy provides additional terms.
8. Public publishing and audience features
Public Content may be visible to anyone and may be indexed, cached, archived, copied, scraped, linked, embedded, quoted, or retained outside Inkagai.
Algodyne may process Public Content to render pages, generate previews, feeds, sitemaps, and structured data, provide analytics where enabled, moderate abuse, handle rights complaints, and maintain service security.
Where an author or workspace collects reader, subscriber, customer, or community-member information through Inkagai, the author or workspace may have independent legal obligations. Product-specific data-processing terms will govern situations where Algodyne acts as a processor or service provider for a customer.
For an author newsletter, the author or their publishing entity determines the audience, content, sender identity, timing, and campaign purpose and acts as the controller or business for that reader list. Algodyne processes reader email addresses, consent and withdrawal evidence, delivery and suppression state, campaign content, and minimal provider events on the author's instructions as a processor or service provider. New public signups use emailed double opt-in. An unsubscribe applies to that author newsletter and does not block transactional account or security messages.
9. Sharing
Algodyne may share information with:
- Cloud infrastructure, hosting, storage, security, content-delivery, observability, authentication, email, and support providers.
- Payment and billing providers where paid features are used.
- AI providers where an adult user explicitly invokes an AI feature requiring provider processing.
- Import, export, publishing, domain, storefront, marketplace, or integration providers when requested by the user and enabled.
- Authorized collaborators, workspace members, reviewers, editors, providers, and public visitors according to user actions and permissions.
- Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, accountants, and legal counsel.
- Courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies, or other parties where required by law or necessary to protect rights, security, or safety.
- A successor or transaction participant in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Algodyne will maintain a vendor and subprocessor register that reflects providers actually enabled for production processing.
10. International processing
Algodyne Corporation is a United States corporation. Personal Data may be processed in the United States and other locations where Algodyne and its service providers operate. Inkagai's current Cloudflare D1 databases do not have a configured jurisdiction, so Algodyne does not claim that author newsletter data remains in the EU, Japan, the United States, or another specific region.
Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or safeguard, Algodyne will use an appropriate lawful mechanism for the relevant transfer. Algodyne will not claim that a specific transfer mechanism applies unless the corresponding contractual and operational evidence exists.
11. Retention
Algodyne retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including service operation, user instructions, security, abuse prevention, billing, tax, accounting, disputes, backups, and legal compliance.
| Data type | Retention approach |
|---|---|
| Account and workspace information | Retained while needed to provide the account or workspace and for a limited period afterward where legally or operationally necessary |
| Private Content | Retained while the authorized user or workspace keeps it in Inkagai, subject to deletion flows, backups, disputes, and legal holds |
| Public Content | Retained until unpublished, deleted, removed for policy reasons, or otherwise handled through publication controls |
| Author newsletter records | Active subscriber data is retained while subscribed. Confirmation tokens expire after 24 hours and unconfirmed requests are deleted within 30 days. Direct email addresses in inactive subscriber and terminal delivery records are pseudonymized after 30 days. Inactive consent, withdrawal, removal, complaint, bounce, campaign, delivery, and non-legal suppression evidence is deleted after three years. A legal suppression may remain until the author account is deleted where deletion would permit prohibited delivery |
| Billing and tax records | Retained for accounting, tax, fraud, dispute, and legal obligations |
| Security and audit records | Retained for service integrity, abuse prevention, incident investigation, and legal compliance |
| Support records | Retained while needed to provide support and resolve legal, security, or quality matters |
| Optional marketing records | Retained until consent is withdrawn, the user unsubscribes, or the record is no longer needed |
Account or workspace deletion may not immediately remove information from backups, security logs, legal records, billing records, already-delivered exports, collaborators' copies, search-engine caches, or third-party archives.
12. Security
Algodyne uses technical and organizational controls intended to protect information, including encrypted transport, access controls, authentication controls, environment separation, monitoring, and data minimization.
No service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting credentials, devices, sessions, recovery material, local browser storage, and authorized collaborator access.
13. Rights and choices
Depending on location and applicable law, an adult user may have rights to:
- Access Personal Data.
- Correct inaccurate Personal Data.
- Delete Personal Data.
- Export or port Personal Data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent.
- Opt out of optional marketing communications.
- Opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling where applicable.
- Appeal certain privacy-request decisions where applicable.
Algodyne may verify identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where necessary for security, legal, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, backup, or dispute purposes.
An author account export includes the newsletter roster, consent evidence, confirmation records, suppressions, sender records, campaigns, send units, and provider events controlled by that account. A reader may unsubscribe through the link in every author campaign or direct a request to the author or Algodyne. Reader deletion does not remove the minimal suppression evidence required to prevent prohibited re-mailing.
14. Changes to this policy
Algodyne may update this Privacy Policy as Inkagai, providers, laws, or data practices change. The current policy will be posted on the Inkagai legal page with its effective and last-updated dates. Material changes will be communicated where required.
